Muy contento por el lanzamiento del primer proyecto de FrutaBomba como estudio.

Estas cápsulas fueron realizadas durante el mes de Abril del 2010

para el laboratorio BioHominis, especializado en el estudio del Genoma Humano,

En ellas el Doc y Patiño explican el mundo de la genética y sus posibilidades dentro del cuidado de la salud.

El reto mas grande fue comunicar de la manera clara y simple conceptos complejos como el estudio genético.

Very happy because of the release of the first project of FrutaBomba as a studio.

This project was done during April 2010 for BioHominis, a lab specialized in the study of the human Genome.

Doc and Patiño explain the world of genetic and it´s possibilities in health care.

Te biggest challenge was to communicate clearly very complex concepts like the Genome study.

Este dibujo es parte de un proyecto en el que he trabajado desde hace seis años, lo hice basándome en el Aguililla caminera, oriunda de Cancún Quintana Roo. Ch`uuy es su nombre maya.

This drawing is part of a project I´ve been working for the last six years, it´s based in the Roadside Hawk, originary from Cancun, Quintana Roo. Ch`uuy is it´s mayan name.

Hombrecito is a play that talks about refugees, their stories and dreams, what really goes in our luggage when we travel.

I really enjoyed working in this project, the opportunity to build an illustration from puppetmaking, two crafts that I deeply love.

Hombrecito habla sobre los refugiados, sus historias y sueños; lo que realmente viaja en nuestras maletas cuando nos desplazamos.

Este es un proyecto que disfruté muchísimo: poder componer una ilustración con marionetas, unir dos artes que amo.
Espantapajaros tells the story of child soldiers, how they get involved in war and what they loose in their way. The illustration is composed from different images, including the child soldier from Mexican Revolution, taken from the Casasola photograph archives.

Espantapajaros cuenta la historia de los niños soldado, como se envuelven en conflictos armados y lo que pierden en el camino. La ilustración, compuesta con distintas imágenes, cuenta con la imagen de un niño soldado de la Revolución Mexicana tomada del archivo fotográfico Casasola.

Arturo, llamado así en honor a mi abuelo, ha sido parte de mi imaginario personal los últimos años, aún no ha tenido un corto para él, pero espero que próximamente pueda contar sus aventuras.

Arturo, named after my grandfather, has been part of my personal imaginarium the last couple of years, he does not have a short film project of his own (yet), but I hope that soon I will be able to tell his adventures.

Pas de Deux (2009)

Between the cold of winter and the horrors of war, a young soldier finds warmth in the arms of his beloved ballerina dancer.

Project done during the last month at VFS, using flash to animate the characters and after effects to do the final compositing, bringing together the character animation, the special effects and the Photoshop painted backgrounds.

In this project there is a little of my soul, I really loved doing it.

Entre un frío invierno y las infamias de la guerra, un soldado encuentra calor en los brazos de su amada bailarina de ballet.

Proyecto realizado en el último mes en VFS, usando Flash para animar a los personajes y After Effects para la composición final de personajes, efectos especiales y fondos pintados en Photoshop.

En este proyecto existe un reflejo de mi alma; en realidad disfruté mucho el hacerlo.

Airborne Love (2009)

Pink Bubbles, cotton candy smoke and love explosions, are expected when Xun xun, an ingenious heart fisherman, chases his loved Pio-pó and her really fast floating space heart. Prepare for some Airborne Love!

My classically animated film and final project from VFS, it was done in four months, and was one of the most challenging experiences during my time in Canada.

Burbujas rosas, humo azucarado y explosiones de amor será lo que Xun Xun, un ingenioso pescador de corazones, encontrará al perseguir a toda velocidad a su amada Pio-pó y su corazón espacial. ¡Prepárate para el Airborne Love!

Este es mi corto final para la VFS, fue animado tradicionalmente durante cuatro meses. Uno de los retos mas grandes durante mi estancia en Canadá.

Mi proyecto de tesis para CENTRO - Diseño, Cine y T.V.

L.U.I.S. es el paisaje emocional de un robot de servicio y su amo. Un retrato de los miedos, la soledad y el delirio provocado por el abandono y la soledad del espacio exterior.

Un proyecto hecho en equipo durante el transcurso del último año de la carrera: del primer borrador de guión hasta el producto final.

Fue por este proyecto, que decidí ir a estudiar animación a Vancouver.

My thesis project for CENTRO - Diseño, Cine y T.V.

L.U.IS. is the emotional landscape of a service robot and his master. A portrait of the characters fears, loneliness and deliriums after years of deep solitude and abandonmet in the outer space.

This project was a team effort that lasted a whole year, from the first script draft, to the final product.

Because of this project, I decided to study classical animation in Vancouver.
